My Birthday Lunch Celebrations at Gothenburg!

I was invited to Gothenburg to celebrate my 21st birthday with some friends. This Blog captures the key requirements of accessibility, staff, food and overall vibe.

PARKING

When I got to Gothenburg there were 2 disabled parking places right at the front of the building (ANZ Centre). Both parking bays were quite generous in size and easy for both myself and my support person to exit and enter the vehicle.

Parking access overall I rate very very highly.

ACCESSIBILITY

Access for the vehicle to inside the building was excellent. The ride in was very smooth and access to the building itself was highly rated. There are 2 lifts in the four of ANZ Centre and these lifts take you down to Gothenburg (G1). On entry to G1 access is very straight forward and easy acess into the restaurant itself. On the day we went the main doors were all open so we didn't need to muck around accessing the entry to the site.

On our visit we were seated outside under the umbrellas and access was excellent with plenty of room to move a manual wheelchair. Soon after arriving, it began to rain and we were asked if we would like to go inside. The staff happily accomadted us to a table that had plenty of room to accommodate a wheelchair and 2 other accompanying guests.

FOOD

Food was excellent. There is a large section of tapas that would suit all kinds of dietary requirements. We ordered 6 tapas plates across the 3 of us and the food was beautiful and plenty. It was a busy day in December and when inside the room could get quite noisy but other than that it was comfortable.

STAFF

I could not fault the staff. Overall the staff were exceedingly helpful and accommodating. They made us welcomed and said goodbye when leaving and nothing was a problem during the service.

VALUE

Whilst Gothenburg is at the higher end for lunch it is worth every penny for a special celebration or a lunch were you want to to treat yourself with special friends. So I think at the higher end it is great value for money.
